I just don't know how people do it. I have 2 blogs and I have such a hard time keeping up with them. I'm finally (a little) motivated to update this blog. You'll be here awhile since it's been over a month since I've updated, so get comfy!
First Megan always gets up and leaves for school before Courtney even wakes up. Well one day when they both got home from school they realized they had worn the same shirt that day. That was the first time it happened. They weren't to happy about it, but they still posed for a picture. Don't they look so cute together! Can you believe there are only 17 month separating them?
Next they both got here hair highlighted by my friend Darcie (thanks Darcie). I had to take a picture. Courtney was the one that was most excited to get it done, I don't know where that look came from!
Then Megan got a turn. Sorry you only get the before and not the after. They turned out really cute though, but you will just have to trust me. Darcie you did a great job and you're hired again for the next time!
So March 16th was Ron's birthday. I hope he had a great day. I had to post this picture to show you how much Courtney is a poser. She loves to show off for the camera. Happy very Belated Birthday! We all love you very much!!!
March 21st I took the kids to Utah for Spring Break. That was Megan's 12th birthday. She wasn't to excited to make a long drive on her birthday, but she was excited to be there with family. Don't worry I took her out the night before to celebrate her birthday. It was just her and me. We went shopping for new church clothes then went to Applebee's for dinner. We then went to Hastings for the midnight release of Twilight on DVD. We didn't have time to watch it that night since we were traveling to Utah the next day. We got there just in time for a big family BBQ celebrating my dad's birthday. They shared the yummy Chocolate Bundt cake.
Happy Birthday Megan and Dad!!! We love you both. I am so proud of the beautiful Young Women Megan has become. She is such a great daughter to have around, and a great big sister/babysitter. I just love having a live in babysitter!
Megan got this beautiful statue of a Young Women since she is now in Young Women's. How did that happen that I have a 12 year old?
Well for the ice cream part of the cake and ice cream my mom made homemade ice cream in freezer bags. You're supposed to mix it all around for about 10 min then eat it. The kids thought it would be fun to throw it back and forth from the top of the swing set to the bottom. They had so much fun doing it. Some ice cream worked and some didn't, but it was fun trying. Thanks for the fun Mom!
Monday while we were down there my Sister Stacey and I took my kids and her one daughter to a place in Lindon called Jump on It. We had never been there, but it sounded like a fun place to take the kids. It's this big place that has a bunch of trampolines next to each other and on the walls. The kids had the best time there. Everyday after that they would ask to go back. I only took them that once, but I'm sure we will be visiting it again. They also had a bunch of inflatables for the kids to play on. Stacey's daughter Juliana would only jump if she was holding my hand. She was so cute. Stacey couldn't help here since she is prego with baby number 2. I thought it was fun too!
Also during spring break I took the kids to the Bean Museum at BYU. It was a fun place for the kids and the best part was it was free. We got there right when they started showing some reptiles to preschoolers. They brought around a turtle that was so cute, then they brought out the lizard of some sort. When they brought out the snake Sydney did not want to have anything to do with it. She decided to hide like a turtle so she wouldn't have to see it.
As you can see in the pictures I have a child missing. Tyler was there with us, but when they brought around the animals he hid under the bench because he didn't want to touch them. What a wimp!
They had taxidermied animals all over. The kids really liked the butterfly picture.
There really is such a thing as a Liger and Tyler has proof!
All in all they really enjoyed the Bean museum. I'm sure they would be happy to go there again.
That was our spring break this year. We wish Ron could have come with us, but someone has to stay and make the money. We are glad that he has a job and can do that!
The last thing I'm going to share with you tonight is this picture of Bolt that Courtney free handed. She did a great job. She thought it was good too so she made a frame to go around it.
Thanks for staying and catching up, but that was only part 1. Part 2 will come sometime this week. Have a great day!!!
